Direct Pressure Direct Results Deep Tissue Massage



What makes my massage different is being educated on the structure of the body and its systems. Knowing when to apply the right amount of pressure and where is key in releasing those areas of stress and discomfort. Experience releif from pain, and then be soothed. See my different techniques below. I find using them all in combination to be most effective.


Myofacial Release

Often, people are unable to pinpoint some sore spots or have grown used to them until a massage therapist finds them. Once we locate the area of tightness, a light stretch is applied to the tight area. Then the therapist waits for the tissue to relax and then increases the stretch. Myofascial Release is used to equalize muscle tension throughout the body. Unequal muscle tension can compress nerves and muscles causing pain.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. Done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two


Swedish massage is the most popular type of massage. It involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. This technique particularly allows the body to absorb more oxygen, thereby rejuvenating the body. Swedish massage is also geared towards detoxification by increasing the speed by which the cells of the body eliminate their waste materials.
But more than these, Swedish massage brings to the receiver an immense feeling of satisfaction and relaxation.


CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
